Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, has completed his move to newly-promoted French Ligue 1 side Paris FC from Nantes, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 29-year-old, who moved to France from Spanish side Levante in 2019, moves to the capital in a deal reportedly worth €7 million and has signed a contract until 2028.
Paris FC, newly-promoted from Ligue 2, are looking to make a statement and they have now signed the Nigerian international. It is the first time the Paris club will be playing in the top-flight, and they believe the arrival of Simon would do them a lot of good.
The Super Eagles winger finished the 2024-25 season with eight goals and ten assists, as the Canaries finished six points clear of the relegation zone.
During his time at Nantes, Simon played a key role in helping the club avoid relegation on several occasions and was instrumental in their back-to-back Coupe de France final appearances in 2022 and 2023.
In 2022, Simon helped the Canaries lift the Coupe de France trophy at the expense of OGC Nice, sealing the club’s fourth ever title, in the prestigious competition.
Earlier on Tuesday, Simon announced his departure from FC Nantes, bringing an emotional end to a memorable six-year stint with the French club.
The former Gent winger’s heartfelt farewell message was accompanied by a 75-second video capturing his finest moments in the club’s iconic yellow and green colours.
“Six seasons giving everything with my heart,” Simon wrote in French.
“Sprints, crosses, goosebumps and memories engraved forever. Thank you FC Nantes, thank you, Beaujoire. I leave with pride and a piece of this club in my heart.”
Simon was a fan favourite at Nantes, as he made over 200 appearances, scoring 37 goals, and providing 42 assists for them.
