Delta win 7th consecutive National Youth Games

Delta state has emerged champion of the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba with 116 medals, www.aclsports.com reports.

Team Delta bagged 51 gold; 34 silver and 31 bronze medals to the 2023 National Youth Games, Lagos came second with 61 medals comprising 21 gold; 19 silver and 21 bronze while Edo came third with 21 gold; 15 silver; 17 bronze medals.

Bayelsa and Kwara settled for the fourth and fifth positions after winning 20 Gold, 7 silver, 16 bronze and 13 gold, 14 silver and 9 bronze medals respectively.

Team Ogun clinched the sixth position with 11 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze, closely followed by the FCT which raked in 11 gold, 10 silver and 16 bronze to emerged in the seventh position.

The eighth position went to Team Anambra with 7 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze, as Team Rivers clinched the ninth position with 6 gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze, while Plateau won 5 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze to finish 10th position.
