Bilyaminu Hassan has expressed his intentions to guide NAF Rockets to next season’s Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.

NAF Rockets VC will feature at the first phase of the 2024 National Division One Volleyball League coming up from 8th to 18th May, 2024 in Owerri, Imo state.

Hassan told www.aclsports.com that one of his dreams is to play top flight volleyball in the country as well as professional volleyball outside the country.

He said, “I have one mission in Owerri, Imo state and it is to help my team win all our matches. NAF Rockets were in the Division II last season and we were able to gain promotion into the Division I. I want to ensure my team gets promoted to the Premier League and that can only be possible if we work together as a team and win all our matches.

“NAF Rockets VC boost of experienced players who have been playing volleyball for a long time and are blessed with experienced coaches who have played the game to the highest level. The motivation the team got during the last league will be instrumental to our performance because NAF Rockets were the only team that flew to the venue of the league.

“I am taking it one step at a time because I want to make a name for myself in the Nigeria Volleyball League before going professional. Most of our player are making the country proud in their respective clubs and I know for sure that I will make a positive impact when my time comes”.

Hassan who was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the FCT Volleyball Challenge 2024 said the tournament has prepared him for the task ahead.

He said, “I want to thank the organisers of the FCT Volleyball Challenge 2024 for giving me and other volleyball players within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) the opportunity to showcase our abilities.

“The tournament gave me the opportunity of proving myself to my boyhood club and my league club as well. Winning the MVP of the challenge shows that I have improved drastically within a year and I hope to translate my performance to the Division I League”.
