Kada Kings beach volleyball player, Ibrahim Peter says his dream is to win the 2023 President Beach Volleyball Cup.

The 4th edition of the President Beach Volleyball Cup is billed to hold from 13th to 19th February, 2023 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna State.

The 2022 National Sports Festival Champion said placing second in this year’s edition is not an opportunity adding that the mentality of the team has changed after the just concluded National Sports Festival in Delta State.

He said, “The target of Kada Kings is to clinch the gold medal in this year’s President Beach Volleyball Championship. I believe with God on our side, we (Ibrahim Peter and Uchenna Austin) shall be unstoppable this time around because we have been finishing second at the President Cup.

“It is not going to be an easy task to be realistic, because there are only two categories, the U17 and Seniors. There are going to be a lot of battles to conquer and we have already fine tuned our mentality”.

Peter said the team has found a way around to the performance of the team ahead of the Cup.

He said, “Some of the major championships we have participated in, Kada Kings finished second place due to so many reasons which I will not disclose here but we have been able to figure out some of our errors and have worked over them.”

On the area of preparations, Peter said, “Preparation has been good inspite of the economic and financial situations of the nation. The Chairman of our association, Engineer Musa Nimrod has been putting in a lot to see that the entire team are provided with the necessary things for a good and successful outing this year”.
