Anambra State Beach Soccer Association Board Inaugurated

Prof Victor Madubuko will lead a seven-man board of the Anambra State Beach Soccer Association.

A new dawn seems to be in the offing for the game of Beach Soccer in Anambra state, South Eastern Nigeria after the state Beach Soccer board was successfully inaugurated on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.


The Beach Soccer Board will be led by the Prof. Victor Madubuko who will serve as Chairman while Rt. Hon. Chukwudi Orizu will serve as the Vice Chairman.

Other members of the Board who were sworn in same day are, Hon Ezeakukwu Emmanuel Nsoedo, the Secretary General, Kingsley Nwagba who will double as Coach/Technical Director, Okwudili A Emmanuel as Media Officer, Prisca Ogugua as Welfare Officer and Chukwuka Fidelis as Assistant coach.

The newly formed board took oath of office which was administered by seasoned instructor, Dr. Sunday Okai. The new board were charged to put passion first in discharging their duties as this will lead them to achieve success in their entrusted responsibility.

In his remark, a representative of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL), Mr Victor Kadiri assured the Anambra State Beach Soccer Board of support from the national body. This he said will help to fast-track the development of Beach soccer in Anambra state and Nigeria in general.

In an acceptance speech by the Chairman, Prof. Victor Madubuko, he said

“I believe that I have the best available hands as board members. With them we can achieve great things. Our aim is to bring Beach Soccer development to Anambra State especially in schools and female categories. We promise not to disappoint as we are ready to deliver,” said Madubuko.


During the inauguration ceremony, Nigeria Beach Soccer League through Dr Sunday Okai held an extensive seminar on Beach Soccer for players, coaches and referees. He drilled and lectured them on the basics of Beach Soccer and benefits of playing beach soccer.
