The Executive Governor of Enugu state, Dr. Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of Amobi Ezeaku as the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of Rangers International FC, www.aclsports.com reports.

The news of Ezeaku’s appointment as Rangers CEO was contained in a press release dated Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from the Secretary to Enugu State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, which had twelve other appointees into various boards and parastatals in the state.

Ezeaku thus returns to Rangers for a second stint having previously served as the Team Manager during Rangers International’s glorious spell of a swashbuckling run to win the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in 2016 and a dramatic Federation Cup success in 2018.

It was indeed @RangersIntFC' destiny!

Quarter-final: Came from ONE goal down to win on PKs.

Semi-final: Came from TWO goals down to win 4-2.

Final: Come from THREE goals down to win on penalties.

He will be hoping to spearhead another successful time at Rangers having now replaced veteran Football Administrator Davidson Owumi who was Rangers’ last substantive CEO before he left the club to become part of the league body in Nigeria two years ago.

The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season is scheduled to get underway on the weekend of September 9, 2023. Rangers are currently being coached by Fidelis Ilechukwu, a former Heartland coach who took the reins in Enugu less than two months ago.
