The quarterfinal games of the 2018 AITEO CUP took place across four different centres on Wednesday as Yetunde Adeboyejo helped defending champions, Rivers Angels beyond Sunshine Queens of Akure.

A goal in each half from Adeboyejo saw Rivers Angels progress to the semifinals of the 2018 AITEO Cup as the bid to defend the title they won last season continues.

Meanwhile in Enugu, Glory Edet’s strike was enough to see Ibom Angels beyond Delta Queens into the last four of the competition.

Elsewhere in Ijebu-Ode, two quick fire second half goals from Adebisi Saheed and Joy Jerry was enough as Bayelsa Queens edged Osun Babes
2-0 to clinch a semifinal spot while Edo Queens also defeated Confluence Queens by a lone goal to progress to the last four of the competition.

With Wednesday’s results the final four teams in the 2018 women’s AITEO Cup competition include: Rivers Angels, Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens.
