African Champions D’Tigress humiliated Democratic Republic of Congo 79-46 to reach the semi-finals of the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2019 in Dakar, Senegal on Thursday.

Like other games, the D’Tigress started brightly in the first half and took a 15 points lead at the end of the second quarter (38-23). But could have been more if they had not struggled at the offensive end in the last 4 minutes of the second quarter.

Congo took a 4-0 run at the start of the third quarter but that didn’t take long as Nigeria extended their lead to 30 points (59-29) with 2:16 minutes left in the third quarter.
