Gabon captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has urged his team mates to leave no stone unturned for a victory over Burundi in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Saturday in Libreville.

The Panthers are third in Group C with no point following their 2-1 defeat to Mali in the campaigns’ opening matchday in June last year.

“I would say the match against Burundi is capital for us, because in the first place we are playing at home,” Aubameyang said.

“We need to win this match owing to the fact that we lost our first game. We need to raise our head and move on.

“And then, we must be very careful of Burundi. They are coming to Libreville with huge confidence after defeating South Sudan (3-0).”

Burundi and Mali are tied on three points atop the group while Gabon and South Sudan are first and second from bottom.
