The Warriors of Abia and Elkanemi will do battle in the 2024 President Federation Cup final in Abuja later in the month reports www.aclsports.com

The two sides sealed their spots in the final by claiming wins via penalty shootout in the semifinals on Thursday. Abia Warriors saw off fellow NPFL side Kano Pillars at the Lafia City Stadium. Following a goalless affair after regulation time, Bethel Orji’s men won 4-3 on penalties to book their spot in the final for the first time.

The other semi-final between Kebbi United and Elkanemi Warriors also finished goalless before a penalty shootout was employed to determine who would progress. After five rounds of play, the Warriors won 5-4 to cap off a memorable week for the team following their promotion to the elite division last Wednesday. It is Elkanemi’s first final appearance since 2001.

The Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja – the first time that the grand finale of Nigeria’s oldest Cup competition will be staged in the city – is the venue of this final showpiece, which has been scheduled to take place on 29th June, 2024.
