The Legacy volleyball club cham­pionship in Lagos is gradually winding down as four teams in the male category confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the competition with convincing wins.

The teams include: host team, Legacy (Lagos); Offa (Kwara); defending champions, Sunshine (Ondo) and B-Shockers (Kaduna).

Meanwhile, in the female category, the group stage games climaxed with an exciting match between BGY ladies and Legacy ladies. The game which ended 3-1 in favour of BGY ensured that the team from Oyo finished top of their group; and also handed Legacy ladies their first defeat of the tournament.

Sunshine 3 – 0 Apex
B-Shockers 3 – 0 BGY
Legacy 3 – 0 Bayelsa
Offa 3 – 0 Kano

Female Category:

A.B.U Zaria 0 – 3 BGY
Apex 1 – 3 Laspotech
BGY 3 – 1 Legacy
Laspotech 3 – 0 Unity

Semi-final matches for both male and female players will take centre stage on Friday as we gear up for the finale on Saturday.
