Taekwondo: 200 Athletes for Nigeria Open, Korea Ambassador’s Cup

About 200 athletes are expected to participate at the Korean Ambassador’s Cup and Nigeria Taekwondo Open Championships, December 1st-2nd as well as December 9th-11th 2017

According to the official website of the Nigeria Taekwondo Feeration, athletes from Cameroun, Delta, Imo, FCT and Kaduna are amongst the first to register for the championships.

The Secretary General of the NTF, Taiwo Oriss said this is the first time the federation is organizing a self sponsored tournament. Taiwo added that prior to now, events have been privately owned or the multi-sports games.

The scribe of the federation revealed that In between the events, the Federation will hold its fourth quarter board meeting, Annual National Congress [to debate its constitution], a National Referees Course and a National Black Belt Grading.

He said, “At the end of the events, the federation will recognize persons who have contributed to the development of Taekwondo in Nigeria”.
