Edo state overhauling sports sector says Deputy Governor

Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Phillip Shaibu said the state advocates youths empowerment for effective development and is overhauling the sports sector in the State.

Shaibu who stated this in Ibadan disclosed that Edo state is re-branding her sporting activities and facilities.

He disclosed that the 20 stadiums across the 18 local governments will be used to grow sports.

“Our Governor, Godwin Obaseki believe that we need to give our youths; skills and empowerment for effective development”, he said.

“He wants to return Edo State to Number One in everything not just Football, we are Totally Rebranding Sporting Activities in the State, including facilities.

The Stadium will wear a new look, 20 new Stadiums will come up across the 18 Local Government in the State, just to grow Sports”, the deputy governor said.
