It was a disappointing run for the Nigerian players as the Chamberlain Squash Open officially commenced on Wednesday. After the first round of games, Nigerian players will no longer play a part in this tournament as all the male and female players were defeated by their respective opponents.

The Egyptians on the other hand had a successful outing in the first round, with all players (both male and female) winning all their games except when they came up against each other.

This means that Yemisi Olatunji who is the female reigning champion of the Chamberlain Squash Open will not be defending her crown after she lost 3-0 to Menna Hamed (EGY).
