Wissam Ben Yedder scored a brace as LaLiga outfit, Sevilla shocked Manchester United 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg tie at Old Trafford.

Ben Yedder came off the substitute bench to score two goals to send his side through to last eight of the CL.

With the first having ended goalless, United needed a win to progress but just like in the first leg, it was Sevilla who started the brightest and dominated the encounter.

An evenly balanced first half saw both sides play cautiously knowing how decisive the first goal would prove.

However, after a rather dull first 45, Ben Yedder came on for the visitors in the last 20minutes, and that proved a tactical masterclass from his manager, Vincenzo Montella.

Ever Banega found Ben Yedder with pass, and the forward made no mistakes with his low drive which found the back of the net to put Sevilla 1-0 ahead.

With the Red Devils yet to recover from the shock of going behind, Ben Yedder struck again, as he doubled their advantage to all but seal Sevilla’s passage to the next round.

It was his eighth goal in the CL, a header that was too good or David de Gea in goal for United.

Despite José Mourinho’s final attempt to salvage something from the game by bringing on Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial, it was Romelu Lukaku who would spark a fight back, after he pulled one back for United to leave scores at 2-1.

Ben Yedder almost completed his hattrick, but De Gea stood in his way as Sevilla held on for a famous win, which secures place in the quarter finals.

Dzeko scored the only goal of the game six minutes into the second half, as Roma secure their in the last eight on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate score.

Shakhtar were reduced to ten men after Ivan Ordec received his marching orders, but after Dzeko had given the Italians the lead.

Roma are through to the quarter finals for the first time since they did so in the 2007/2008 campaign.
