Ahead of their CAF Champions League game against MFM football club; Mouloudia Club D’Alger coach, Bernard Casoni has revealed that his team is in Nigeria to play for a win.

“I came here to win, that’s my message,” Bernard Casoni said when asked for his message to Nigerians. “I came here to play with a team that will defend because we will win. It is for us to be good.”

On MFM’s attacking brand of football and how they intend to cope he said: “We have the organization and a team to cause problems for any team especially MFM.”

Despite being debutants on the continent, MFM FC dispatched AS Real Bamako with aplomb showing they aren’t afraid of the big guns. Coming up against another big club in MC Alger, coach Bernard Casoni said: “I respect MFM FC and if they can beat a team from Mali, that means they are a good team and I respect them.”

Casoni however added that he doesn’t know much about Nigerian football although he knows a little about Nigerian footballers. He then name checks Barnabas Imenger who once played for MC Alger saying “he was a good player.”
