Nigerians on the popular microblogging platform, X, were in a joyous mood after the Women’s 100m Hurdles World record holder, Tobi Amusan, was cleared by the disciplinary tribunal and her suspension was subsequently lifted.

Amusan was temporarily suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) in July for missing three tests within a calendar year. She maintained her innocence all through the time and on Thursday, the verdict of a tribunal that was set up to rule on the matter eventually went in her favour.

The star also reacted to the news after being given the all-clear to compete at the World Athletics Championship starting this weekend in Budapest, Hungary.

Nigerians and Sports fans alike were quick to celebrate the track queen after the big news and here are some of the best posts on the night;
