The Plateau Peacocks head coach, Yusuf Abdulkadir said his team has learnt from the mistakes observed in the first phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

Abdulkadir told www.aclsports.com that his team has corrected the errors adding that they will not be repeated in the second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

The head coach of the National U17 women’s team said, “After the first phase of the league, i felt bad because there were some matches we could have won but lost due to technical errors. I know for sure that it will not repeat itself again because I and the technical crew have sat down, watched the clips of our previous matches and corrected the mistakes.

“So the teams that beat us by luck during the first phase should know that we are in for business in the second phase. My girls are going all out to beat our opponents when the second phase resumes”.

Abdulkadir commended some of his players who played for the country at the just concluded 2019 African Games in Morocco.

The ex international said, “I will not fail to commend my players who broke into the women’s national senior team at this stage. It means a lot to me and I know they are sources of inspiration to other girls in Plateau state.

“I hope they will replicate the fine form when the second phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League commences next month.

Plateau Peacocks played 9 games, won 7, lost a game to Imo grasshoppers and drew against Edo Dynamos. The Plateau based handball club is second on the log behind league leaders, Safety Babes.

The second phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League is scheduled for 5th to 17th October, 2019 at Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos.
