W/Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria Volleyball Federation name squad, departs for Abidjan tomorrow

The Nigerian women volleyball team is expected to leave the shores of Nigeria tomorrow (Thursday) for Abidjan, Cote D’ivore, to participate at the women World Cup tournament.

The tournament will hold between August 18 and 22 in Abidjan.

The 14 female players were selected after two weeks training in Abuja.

A statement signed by the Secretary General NVBF, Adamu Maikano, listed the names of players to represent Nigeria at the tournament as Ladi Jalmat, Theresa Okonma Helen Umeh, Aisha Umar, Chinese Nwosu, Esther Dusu, Albertina Francis.

Others are Kelechi Iwobi, Agera Precilla, Comfort Amdu, Francisca Ikhiede, Chimdia  Ive, Mary John and Chinedu  Nnachi.

The team will be led by Head coach Usman Abdallah and Gloria Peter Ret.
