Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial has been omitted from France’s latest squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Belarus.

Martial has been in impressive form for his club, United, having contributed to five of the Red Devils’ six goals, including two assists and a goal in their Champions League win against CSKA Moskva on Wednesday.

However, in the list of players invited by coach, Didier Deschamps, the 22-year-old’s name was conspicuously missing.

Full list of invited players;

Defenders: Lucas Digne (Barcelona), Christophe Jallet (Nice), Presnel Kimpembe (PSG), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Layvin Kurzawa (PSG), Djibril Sidibe (Monaco), Samuel Umtiti (Barcelona), Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)

Midfielder: N’Golo Kante (Chelsea), Blaise Matuidi (Juventus), Adrien Rabiot (PSG), Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham), Corentin Tolisso (Bayern Munich)

Forwards: Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich), Olivier Giroud (Arsenal), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), Thomas Lemar (Monaco), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Dimitri Payet (Marseille), Florian Thauvin (Marseille).
