Safety Spikers head coach, Sami Dogonyaro was satisfied with his team’s performance in Wednesday’s 2023 National Division 2 Volleyball League clash against Ajase Ipo VC and Olalomi Spikers.

Safety Spikers recorded three consecutive victories against Adamawa Spikers (3-1), Ajase Ipo VC (3-0), and Olalomi Spikers (3-0) in the ongoing match in Owerri.

Dogonyaro told www.aclsports.com that his players are giving their best in the Division 2 league.

He said, “I am excited that the newly formed Safety Spikers are performing great in the league. We played five matches, won three and lost two. The boys gave their best and I am impressed with their level of commitment.

“My players knew what to do to match their opponents with our tactical processes, my boys took the fight to them and you can see the results.”

Dogonyaro appreciated the Corps Marshal of FRSC for encouraging the newly formed team but approving their attendance and providing logistics.

He said, “The preparations for the Division 2 league were a bit late because we were being sceptical about attending the league. The boys are still giving their best despite their injuries.

“The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu has been supportive and given approval for Division 2. Safety Shooters were the first team to arrive at Owerri and the team wants to express her gratitude on the court to make him proud.

“This is the first phase of the Division 2 League, we want to gather enough points so that the second phase will complement and qualify. We will definitely sign more players to beef up the team and have better chances.”
