Volleyball: Nigeria get opponents for the men’s U21 Nations Cup

Nigeria male volleyball team has been drawn alongside Cameroon, Rwanda and Tunisia in the Group A of the 2018 men’s U21 Nations Cup in Abuja.

Eight countries divided into two preliminary pools will slug it out in Nigeria from 12th to 20th September, 2018.

The draws of the championship was done in the presence of CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani and Control committee of the competition in Abuja.

Defending champions, Egypt were drawn in Group B along with Chad, DR Congo and Morocco.

Chad will take on Morocco tomorrow (Wednesday) by noon, while host Nigeria face Cameroon by 3pm. Tunisia begins her campaign against Rwanda by 5pm and the defending champion meet Congo by 7pm.

The top two teams of each pool will proceed to the semifinal where the winners qualify for the World Championship of this age category to be held in Bahrain in 2019.

Africa has 2 slots in the FIVB prestigious competition.
