Volleyball: GSP Algeria stop Nigeria Customs in Q/Finals

Two time champion, GSP Algeria hammered Nigeria Customs 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-18) in the last quarterfinal face off of the 2019 Women’s African club championship in Cairo, Egypt on Friday.

The North African sides were too strong for the custom girls as they ended their campaign same as they did last year in the quarterfinals.

Defending champions Ahly of Egypt, runner up Carthage of Tunisia and 6-time champions Pipeline (Kenya) are also through to the Semifinals after their victories in the quarterfinal matches.

Ahly face Pipeline in today’s semifinal today while the other game is a North African derby between Carthage and GSP.

Ahly defeated their archrivals Shams 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-18) in a thrilling match attracted the full house of spectators at Ahly Hall.

Kenya Pipeline thrill the spectators as they prevail against Egypt’s Sporting 3-1 (25-19, 25-27, 25-12, 25-20) in another quarterfinal encounter.

Tunisia Carthage team made it to the semifinal for the fourth year in a row as they flew past Cameroon’s FAP 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-22).
