Emmanuel Umujose has won the Lekki Scrabble Club Quarterly Retreat which was held over the in Lagos on Saturday.

Umujose dropped just a game to finish the 12 round competitions with a score of 11 wins and a single defeat to emerge as the ‘top Jammer’.

2015 World English Language Scrabble Players Association (WESPA) champion Wellington Jighere placed second while Oyinloye Abiola took the third position.

Umujose expressed his happiness for mounting the podium despite the high level of competition.

In other categories, Adebisi Adekansi became the Best Female Player;  picked the Best Student position while Dokun Esan emerged as the Best Veteran Player.

Over 80 players featured at the LSC Quarterly Retreat where almost one million naira cash was won in prizes.

Meanwhile, the Adowei Ebikeme led executives of the Lekki Scrabble Club has promised to improve on the standards of organization even as stakeholders gave a high rating approval to the Retreat.
