Enyimba International of Aba left back, Udo Utin Ikouwem and former Kano Pillars youngster, Nazifi Yahaya, have been included in the Flying Eagles U20AFCON squad.

Both Ikouwem and Yahaya top the list of 21 players submitted on Tuesday for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations set to kickoff on February 2 by the team’s coach, Paul Aigbogun.

The team is captained by the young defender, who has already made his Super Eagles debut after he featured against La Liga side, Atletico Madrid in a friendly match against the Super Eagles B last year.

For Yahaya, it has been a very good start to the year after making the team having recently sealed a move to Danish side, Sonderjyke,

Other notable names in the list include one of the best players in the team from the just concluded WAFU U20 competition in Togo, Effiom Maxwell, and Valentine Ozornwafor, a defender from Enyimba.

Nigeria has won the tournament seven times and will look to make it eighth time lucky when they battle Burundi, South Africa and the hosts, Niger Republic, in Group A.

Nigeria’s first game is against Burundi’s Junior Itamba, and that game is slated for February 2, 2019.
