Nigeria’s national U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, have been pitted against host nation, Tanzania, in Group A of the 2019 CAF U-17 African Cup of Nations.

The Eaglets, who sealed their place in the competition courtesy of a penalty shootout victory over neighbors, Ghana, in the WAFU competition, were drawn against the host and two others during the draws held at Dar Es Salam on Thursday evening.

Nigeria’s two other group members include East African nations of Angola and Uganda.

The five-time world champions, Golden Eaglets, will be making a return to the tournament after missing out of the 2017 edition.

Elsewhere, North Africans, Morocco, will have their hands full when they come up against the trio of 2017 semifinalists, Guinea, Cameroon and Senegal in Group B.

The semi-finalists will automatically qualify to play in FIFA U-17 2019 World Cup.

The 2019 edition will be held in Tanzania from April 14-28.
