African Champions D'Tigress humiliated Democratic Republic of Congo 79-46 to reach the semi-finals of the FIBA Women's Afrobasket 2019 in Dakar, Senegal on Thursday.

Reigning Afrobasket champions, D’Tigress will commence preparation for the Olympic games on the 26th of April and will play hosts, Japan and Spain in the build-up to the competition www.aclsports.com can confirm.

The team will be involved in training camps from the USA to Canada, back home to Lagos-Nigeria, France, Spain and Tokyo where they will face the Japanese national team in their final warm-up game on the 18th of July before the commencement of the Olympic games.

The pre-Olympic training schedule begins with a mini training camp in Atlanta where they will play the WNBA ATL Dream before flying to Las Vegas for another warm-up game against the WNBA Las Vegas Aces and the WNBA La Sparks.

Otis Hughley’s team will also test themselves against the WNBA Canada team when they travel to Canada and Raptors during their two week stay in Lagos.

From there they will jet out to France and Spain for practice camps and warm-up games against the French and Spanish women’s national teams all in preparation for the Olympic games where Nigeria’s D’Tigress are ready to ruffle feathers of the top guns in women’s basketball in Tokyo.
