Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala was once again on target for Barcelona Femeni, scoring twice from the bench as Sporting Huelva were defeated 7-0 by the league leaders.

Oshoala was introduced in the 77th minute in place of Alexia Putellas after her 74th minute penalty which made it five goals in favour of Barcelona.

10 mins after her introduction, Oshoala scored from the edge of the box with a low strike which was well taken to extend the Spanish giants’ lead. Oshoala then wrapped up the scoring with a tap in from inside the six-yard box following a low-cross from Lieke Martens to make it seven goals to the good.

Following last weekend’s brace, Oshoala has now scored 17 goals in the league, just three behind her team mate Jenni Hermoso who has 20 goals to her name this season. Also Barcelona are well on course for the league title as they led second place team and reigning champions, Atletico Madrid Feminino by nine points.

Also in Spain, Rita Chikwelu was in action for Madrid CFF as they gained a vital point away from home against UDG Tenerife Egatesa.

The team from Madrid earned a crucial 2-2 draw which leaves them just two points off their opponents and in 12th place on the log.

Chikwelu was in action for the entire 90minutes as a point was all Madrid could earn to keep survival hopes alive.
Chinaza Uchendu was in action for Sporting Braga on Sunday as she helped her team to a 2-0 away win over AD Ovarense.

It was a tight first half between both teams as it ended goalless but after the restart, Uchendu soon unlocked the opponents’ defence with a mazy run into the box down the left wing with an inch perfect low cross which was met with a diving header as Braga took the lead.

Uchendu once again contributed another assist giving a good account of herself in the Braga team as they picked up an additional three points on the road.

In Sevilla, it was also a draw as Uchenna Kanu made her full debut for the club who are also in danger of relegation.
The Super Falcons was replaced in the 56th minute for her efforts but it ended 1-1 at home to Logrono.

Finally in Spain, it ended in a goalless draw for Osinachi Ohale and her CD Tacon side against lowly placed Valencia Fememino who a struggling with relegation.

The Nigerian defender featured for the entire duration of the game co-ordinating the defence and ensuring that the team from Madrid didn’t concede against a Valencia team fighting tooth and nail for survival.
