He said, “I am very happy we secured a win over Plateau Peacocks; the win is very important because we drew against Rivers Queens. Before the match, I told the girls that there was nothing spectacular about Plateau Peacocks this season. One of their key players, Toyin Yusuf secured a club outside the country leaving a huge gap. No one is willing to loan any of their best goalkeepers because we are all title contenders.

“Going into the match, I told all the players to believe in themselves and take on the players one on one. My players are more exposed because they have attended series of international championships within the last two years and ripe to life the cup.

Suleiman attributed the draw against Rivers Queens to lack of concentration.

He said, “I was not happy with our result against Rivers Queens; we had the game under control but lost concentration when the game was coming to an end. I want to commend Rivers Queens for giving us a good fight and I am happy we did not lose the match but settled for a draw.

“Every match will be taken with high level of seriousness. We have the full backing of Sokoto State Government and they have provided an enabling environment for the team. The team has no excuse not to perform well during the first phase of the 2024 Ardova Handball Premier League”.
