Super Falcons duo, Francisca Ordega and Chinwendu Ihezuo both scored as their teams battled for a place in the semi-final of the Chinese FA Cup.

With the rest of the Super Falcons in Spain getting ready to take on Canada as part of the final preparations for the the FIFA Women’s World Cup in June, Ordega and Ihezuo were left out to help their respective sides at the ongoing Chinese FA Cup.

Francisca Ordega struck in the 90th minute to hand Shanghai a lifeline after initially going behind to Changchun who eventually lost on penalties as Shanghai became the first team to make the semi-final.

Unfortunately for Ihezuo’s new team Henan, her debut goal was not enough to see them through as they lost 4-1 to Jiangsu who progressed to the semi-final where they will face Wuhan.

Meanwhile, Ordega’s Shanghai will battle with Guangdong for a place in the finals of the 2019 Chinese Women’s FA Cup.
