Bayelsa Queens who have so far distinguished themselves at the ongoing NWFL Super 6 with two wins against defending champions, Rivers Angels and Naija Ratels in as many games.

Matchday two of the 2022 NWFL Super 6 saw Bayelsa Queens defeat Naija Ratels 4-0 with Monday Gift, who scored the winner against Rivers Angels on Monday, scoring a hat-trick. Monday opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a beautifully taken curler from about 20 yards out. She then followed it up with a header from a free-kick to give Bayelsa Queens a two nil advantage at the break.

In the second half, it was much of the same from the Aiteo Cup champions as Etim Eddidiong also got in on the act to make it three before Monday rounded off the scoring to complete her hat-trick and take her tally to four goals in two games.

In the other fixture of the day, Rivers Angels played out a goalless draw against Delta Queens having lost their opening day fixture. With this result, the defending champions are at risk of retaining their trophy and losing out on representing Nigeria at the continental showpiece.

Next up, Bayelsa Queens will take on Edo Queens at the Samuel Ogbemudia on Thursday, while Naija Ratels will play Rivers Angels at 12 noon on the same day.
