Heartland Queens stunned defending champions Bayelsa Queens on Matchday 8 of the NWFL Premiership with a thrilling 3–1 comeback victory, while Ahudiyannem Queens secured their first-ever top-flight win in emphatic style, defeating Confluence Queens 5–1, www.aclsports.com reports.

At the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Bayelsa Queens saw their six-match winning streak come to an end. Olabiyi Alaba gave the visitors an early lead in the second minute, but Heartland Queens responded strongly. Umejiaku Oluebube equalised in the 27th minute, an own goal by Agatha Thompson gave the hosts the lead, and Oluebube added a second in the 70th to seal a memorable 3–1 win. The defeat was Bayelsa’s first since losing to Edo Queens in the Super 6 of the 2024/2025 season, having gone the entire regular season unbeaten.

In the early kick-off in Aba, Ahudiyannem Queens delivered a dominant display to overpower Confluence Queens. After scoring their first-ever NWFL Premiership goal on Matchday 7, Ahudiyannem went a step further this time. Orji Chinwendu opened the scoring in the 12th minute, with Chizaram Onyenze doubling the lead soon after. Agba Praise made it three in the 26th minute before Aliko Peace pulled one back for Confluence. Tobi Ogenrugba ensured a comfortable halftime cushion, and Feranmi Odutade wrapped up the five-star performance late on.

Meanwhile, Edo Queens extended their winning streak to six matches with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Ibom Angels at the Uyo Township Stadium. Chioma Moses gave Edo an early lead before Juliet John equalised for the hosts. Mary Mamudu netted the decisive goal in the 86th minute to keep Edo firmly on course.

Remo Stars Ladies cruised to a 4–0 victory over Delta Queens in Ikenne through Daniella Fagbenro (16’, 90+5’), Kehinde Ajayi (74’), and Deborah Kehinde (90+5’).

In Lagos, Robo Queens were awarded a 3–0 walkover against Osun Babes after the visitors failed to resolve a jersey clash before kickoff.

There were also wins for Abia Angels, who defeated Dannaz Ladies 2–0 through Funmilayo Adefuye (13’) and Onyedikachi Ekezie (64’), and Adamawa Queens, who secured a 2–0 victory over Naija Ratels thanks to Ifeoma Damian’s brace (40’, 47’).

Meanwhile, Sunshine Queens edged Nasarawa Amazons 1–0, with Victory Lucky scoring in the 38th minute to end Nasarawa’s unbeaten run in the league.
