Nigeria Women Football League Premiership side, Confluence Queens have confirmed Nsikakabasi Okon as their new technical adviser following an impressive stint as interim coach, www.aclsports.com reports.

Okon, who previously served as assistant coach under former technical adviser Folabi Ojekunle, made a strong impact during his temporary tenure. He guided Confluence Queens to four points from two matches, highlighted by a historic 3–0 away win over Lagos’ Dannaz Ladies — the club’s first victory of the season and their first-ever triumph against the Lagos-based side. He also led the team to a hard-fought draw against the unbeaten Nasarawa Amazons.

Before joining Confluence Queens, Okon had a spell with First Mahi Bases FC, further building his coaching experience.

Speaking on the appointment, Kogi State’s Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Monday Aridaojo Anyebe, urged Okon to steer the team out of the relegation zone. “We trust in your abilities and expect you to provide the leadership and technical guidance required to ensure the team maintains its top-flight status,” he said, adding that the new technical adviser should also instil discipline and unlock the squad’s full potential.
