Former Kano Pillars stars Adamu Mohammed and Kamal Sikiru head the list of ten players sacked by Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Wikki Tourists.

According to a press release sent by the club’s media officer Nasiru Kobi and made available to www.aclsports.com, the services of the two former league winners will no longer be needed by the club.

Adamu and Kamal were in the list of five players released after Wikki’s home loss to Sunshine Stars on Sunday, in addition to the five players that were dropped earlier last week.

The other three players dropped on Monday are former Niger Tornadoes full back Wisdom Jumbo as well as midfielders Ahmed Family and Sixtus Forsah.

Last week, former Akwa United stars Aliyu Musa Newman and Aminu Nuhu were among the five players dropped by the team. Experienced left back Isaac Giwa alongside Salisu Musa and Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi complete the list.

Kobi’s press release adds that the club will be looking to add eight new players before the NPFL mid-season transfer window closes on Sunday, January 19.

Wikki Tourists who also redeployed their coach Ibrahim Garba on Monday will face fellow strugglers Adamawa United at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe on Wednesday.

The Match Day 15 clash will be Wikki’s first game under the tutelage of new coach Usman Abd’Allah who joined the club exactly one week after he was dismissed by reigning champions Enyimba FC.
