Top FIFA referees Patience Madu and Joseph Ogabor have been named by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to officiate in next month’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super 6 Championship, www.aclsports.com reports.

A list of sixteen match officials including 8 centre referees, and 8 assistant referees have been carefully selected to participate in the season-ending event taking place in Lagos starting this weekend.

Ogabor and Madu officiate in the top flight of Nigeria’s men’s league – Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and have also officiated in CAF competitions recently.

Meanwhile, Samuel Pwadutakam, who was the only Nigerian official at the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, leads the list of assistant referees compiled to officiate at the Super 6 in Lagos. Others include Usman Abdulmajeed, Hope Igho, Tejiri Digbori, Muhammed Yakubu, and Tijjani Ahmad.

The regular season ended with Bendel Insurance, Remo Stars, and Enyimba finishing in the top three in Group A, while Rivers United, Lobi Stars, and Sunshine Stars emerged from Group B.

The Super 6 event, which will produce the champions and continental representatives, will kick off on June 3 and run till June 11.
