Lobi Stars’ first choice goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode is set to undergo medicals at Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Enyimba ahead of a possible move to the league champions, reports www.aclsports.com

Kayode was one of Lobi’s star performers in their CAF Champions League campaign last season but has come to the end of his two-year contract with the Pride of Benue, although the club are still hoping on him to accept the renewal offer on the table.

Kayode is however set to undergo medicals in Aba on Monday and may join the People’s Elephant if he agrees personal terms upon successful completion of the medical examination.

Enyimba are likely to be without goalkeeper Fatau Dauda for their return to the Champions League after four seasons. The Ghanaian had hinted that he was on his way to another club on his Twitter handle.

The signing of Kayode is expected to be a direct replacement for Dauda with the former Akwa United goalkeeper expected to compete with Theophilus Afelokhai and Stanley Nwabali for the number one spot next season.

Enyimba have already signed Remo Stars forward Victor Mbaoma and Asante Kotoko defender Daniel Darkwah ahead of the upcoming season.
