2014 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Kano Pillars have reinstated Ibrahim Musa Jugunu as the team’s head of technical crew after just three games into the new season.

Musa Jugunu was removed from his position at the end of last season especially after Pillars threw away a three-goal lead in the AITEO Cup final against Rangers at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba after which the coach alleged sabotage on the part of some of his players as reasons for the capitulation.

Former youth international Kabiru Baleria was appointed in Musa Jugunu’s stead and he has started the new season with one win, one draw and one loss from Pillars’ opening three games. Musa will now take over with effect from Monday January 21, 2018.

www.aclsports.com scooped that the Pillars management board has been under enormous pressure ever since they let go of Mr Musa at the expiration of his contract in October 28 and this move to bring him back is a way of yielding to the bidding of the influential rank in Kano.

Musa Jugunu’s first game back in charge will be a Match Day 4 game away to Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday. Pillars still have in their fold, some of the players brought by the coach to Pillars including striker Nyima Nwagua and midfielder Nzube Anaezemba.

He will however have to make do with the absence of last season’s league top scorer Junior Lokosa who has since joined Tunisian side Esperance Sportive after scoring twenty-six league goals in thirty league games under Musa Jugunu.
