It was yet another interesting match day in the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, as Ikorodu City and Enyimba recorded big wins with Wikki Tourists winning on the road, www.aclsports.com reports.

Ikorodu City, playing at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, made light work of Kano Pillars 3-0 in one of the match day 34 games decided on Sunday across the country. Midway through the first half, forward Joseph Arumala scored his 12th league goal of the season to put the Oga Boys in front before Tosin Oyedokun and Abayomi Ayodeji added more goals in the second half to seal another home win.

In Aba, Enyimba consolidated on the point picked at Wikki last Saturday with a convincing 3-0 bashing of visiting Katsina United. Veteran Stanley Dimgba, Chidera Michael, and Wonah Williams scored the goals against the Changi Boys, who missed a second-half spot-kick through Uche Collins.

In the relegation six-pointer between Bayelsa United and Wikki Tourists in Yenagoa, the visitors snatched all three points thanks to Bala Imamu’s second-half goal. With the result, Wikki dragged the Restoration Boys into the survival race, leaving them in 17th spot with four matches to go.

In Ibadan, continental chasing Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) were held to a goalless draw by relegation battling Kwara United. Similarly, second-placed Rangers held Niger Tornadoes to a barren draw in Minna.

Barau FC came from a goal down to beat defending champions Remo Stars 2-1 in Kano. Joseph Atule and Joseph Kemin scored for the home side after Haruna Hadi had put the visitors in front after the hour mark. Meanwhile, Wisdom Samuel scored the only goal against Plateau United to send Rivers United back to the top of the log.

In Owerri, Kun Khalifat made it two consecutive wins after a 3-0 thrashing of Warri Wolves at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. Mmesoma Nnorom scored the opener before Uchechukwu Onuoha added a brace in the final quarter of the game to secure all three points for the survival hopefuls.

Earlier on Saturday, Bendel Insurance defeated Abia Warriors 1-0 thanks to Chinedu Nwosu’s goal just after the hour mark. Nasarawa United will visit Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri for the final game of the match day on Tuesday.
