In the Abia derby in Aba, Enyimba left it late to beat Abia Warriors 2-1. Chidera Michael scored the opener and the winner for the former champions, while former Elephant Emeka Obioma was the goalscorer for Imama Amapakabo’s side.
It was also routine home wins for the likes of Kwara United, Bayelsa United and Niger Tornadoes against Nasarawa United, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists respectively.
Rivers United are top with 55 points, one above Rangers with thirty two matches played this season.
