Super Eagles new striker, Paul Onuachu, has warmed his way into the hearts of Nigerians after his match winning performance in a friendly against Egypt on Tuesday.

Onuachu’s excellent effort from just outside the box 35 seconds into his full debut for Nigeria earned the Super Eagles a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Pharoahs at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba.

Apart from the goal, which is the fastest ever scored for Nigeria at international level, Onuachu put in an round man of the match performance for the Super Eagles under the floodlights in Asaba.

Onuachu was a thorn in the flesh of the Egypt’s defenders, who found it difficult marking the Denmark based forward for the 88 minutes he was on the pitch.

Thereafter, 24-year-old received a deserved standing ovation from fans at the stadium as he was substituted with just two minutes left to play.

However, those who attended the game in Asaba were not the only ones impressed by Onuachu’s brilliant outing against the Pharoahs as other Nigerians took to their social media accounts to praise the giant Midtjylland of Denmark striker.

Here are some of the reactions to that superb display from Onuachu;

Paul Onuachu

Welcome to Super Eagles.

This guy should obviously keep Ighalo on his toes #NGAEGY

What an amazing way to announce yourself to the world.
Fantastic debut goal for @NGSuperEagles by Paul Onuachu.
Less than 30" (seconds) into the match against Egypt and he puts Nigeria in the lead.
Nigeria 1-0 Egypt#NGAEGY

Like earlier noted, asides his wonderful winner, Onuachu impressed in more ways than simply scoring that stunning winner as these fans can attest.

I like Paul Onuachu. His hold-up play has been excellent and he's very skilful for such a big guy. He's probably won his AFCON spot off of this match vs Egypt #NGAEGY

Paul Onuachu is turning my head. His first touches are too good for a striker of his height.

He caresses the ball like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

I don't mind Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen being our top 2 strikers for AFCON 2019.#NGAEGY

— Topham (@1topham) March 26, 2019

This Paul Onuachu guy is an almost fantastic striker. His touches on the ball are beautiful 👌🏾all he needs is to work very closely with Iwobi on the attack and he'll be even better #NIGvsEGY #NGAEGY

That Paul Onuachu footwork is madt! Morata wey no dey miss goal. #NGAEGY

— ℙ𝕒𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕔𝕜 (@PatrickAtleti) March 26, 2019

'He's 6 foot 7, yet plays with the nimbleness of a much smaller man.' Solid commentary line from Bowie Attamah @SuperSportTV while describing the teenage viral sensation, Paul Onuachu. If Jon Champion had said it, the cyberspace would've been shut down. #NGAEGY

This particular fan has seen enough to know that Onuachu is indeed the ‘real deal’ and wants to tell him just that if the lanky forward can get a Twitter account.

Don't need a Nostradamus to tell me. This Paul Onuachu of a boy is a real deal. Finally the fight for d attacking number 9 is bang competitive. Need his twitter handle ASAP. Hope he's not a one hit wonder. #NGAEGY

Trust Nigerians with their witty takes!

Not quite sure Onuachu is ready to swap football for the Nigerian public office, but good luck trying to explain that to this fan.

Paul Onuachu for 2027 president.

In 15 minutes, he has done enough campaign.

I'm impressed.#NGAEGY

With Super Eagles boss, Gernot Rohr, yet to reveal his pre-AFCON2019 squad, this fan already knows a player heading to Egypt later this summer.

More praises for Onuachu- the new Rashidi Yekinu? Why not?!

This Paul Onuachu seems like the real deal. New Yekini loading. #NGAEGY

Paul Onuachu is a baller! His touches on the ball are exquisite. Ighalo has worthy competition in him & Oshimen now https://t.co/3fjn4khxoD
