Israeli club Bnot Netanya FC has officially announced the signing of Nigerian international Mercy Omokwo from newly crowned NWFL champions, Bayelsa Queens, www.aclsports.com reports.

The announcement was made via the club’s Instagram page, accompanied by the caption: “A surprising addition! We’re excited to announce the signing of Senior Nigerian international Mercy Omokwo.” The post featured Omokwo proudly donning her Super Falcons kit, signaling a major addition to the squad.

Omokwo brings a wealth of domestic and international experience to the Israeli side. Before joining Bayelsa Queens, she starred for Delta Queens, where she finished as the top goal scorer in the 2022/2023 NWFL season.

Her move further underlines the increasing migration of African female football talent to Europe and the Middle East.

While the details of the deal were not disclosed, the move reflects Bnot Netanya’s ambition to compete more aggressively in the Israeli domestic league. Omokwo’s signing is not only a boost to the squad but also a clear statement of intent from the club.

As she begins this exciting new chapter, all eyes will be on Omokwo to see the impact she will make in her new environment.
