Liverpool have tabled a bid of £55.5million to AS Monaco for their wide forward, Thomas Lemar, according to various reports.

Lemar has been linked with a move to fellow PL side, Arsenal all summer but could be set for a move to Anfield.

Monaco have insisted that Lemar won’t be leaving the club this summer, rejecting a £30million offer from Arsenal.

The French side have lost a number of key players this summer, including three, who have already moved to the PL.

Should Liverpool be successful with their bid, they’d have inflicted a second blow on Arsenal, after their 4-0 demolition of Arsene Wenger and his side at the weekend in the PL.

Lemar, who has already been capped by France at international level, scored 12 times in 39 appearances last season for Monaco, as they claimed the Ligue 1 title and also reached the last four in the Champions League.
