Osimhen netted another double as Lille defeated their visitors Saint-Etienne 3-0 at the Stade Pierre-Manroy.

The 20-year-old striker started on the game on the bench but was called up earlier than expected when Loic Remy was forced off with an injury on 19 minutes.

He put his side 1-0 ahead at the break before sealing the victory with his second and Lille third of the evening with 15 minutes left to play.

The goals take his tally this season to four in just three matches for Lille.

Osimhen was named in the Ligue 1 team of the week for the opening matchday after his outstanding performance against Nantes.

Renowned French publication, L’Equipe, revealed their team of the week with the Super Eagles star regarded for his first brace in France.

Osimhen joined the French side this summer on a five-year deal from Belgian side, Sporting Charleroi, in a deal worth €12million, a club record sale for Charleroi.
