Famous Nigerian singer and songwriter, Peter Okoye, has urged Nigerians to continue watching the Spanish top division, the LaLiga.

This much comes after the successful and talented musician was one of the celebrities chosen to unveil the new 2019/2020 balls at the weekend.

Okoye, aka Mr P, was the special guest at the Estadio de la Cerámica where Villarreal hosted newly promoted Granada CF in the 2019/2020 season opener.

Okoye witnessed first hand the brilliant performance of Super Eagles sensation, Samuel Chukwueze, who scored the fourth goal for Villarreal in the eight-goal thriller against Granada, who also had a Nigerian, Ramon Azeez, on the pitch.

Speaking on his experiences thereafter, Okoye had this to say;

“I am very thrilled to be amongst the celebrities across the world to unbox a LaLiga ball and experience a live LaLiga match.”

A key highlight of his trip to Spain was meeting the Nigerian duo of Chukwueze and Granada’s Azeez, a moment the grateful Mr P, who also met with former Spain international and Villarreal ambassador, Marcos Senna, described as “wonderful”.

“I had the opportunity to meet with iconic players and watch my friend and brother Chukwueze in the eight-goal thriller by Villarreal against Granada, ” he added.

“Thank you, LaLiga, for this wonderful experience. Keep watching LaLiga.”

Okoye also visited the City’s iconic Arts and Sciences complex in Valencia, designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
