The leadership of Handball Federation of Nigeria, (HFN) has concluded plans for the National U23 men’s team and coaching crew to resume camp on Monday (10th April), www.aclsports.com gathered.

Nigeria is billed to partake in the 2023 IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship to take place at Varna, Bulgaria from 25th to 30th April.

African representative, Nigeria Men’s senior handball national team will face hosts Bulgaria and Azerbaijan in Group D.

The head coach of Kano Pillars HC, Solomon Yola has been appointed head coach of the U23 men’s team to be assisted by the chief coach of Niger United HC, Yekini Adebayo.

www.aclsports.com gathered that a total of 18 players have been invited for a two-week intensive camping in Abuja.

Nigeria is in Group D with Bulgaria and Azerbaijan; Group A has Malta, Andorra, India. In Group B is Cyprus, Moldova and Australia while Group C has Great Britain, Cuba, Guatemala.

The winner of each group will progress to the semi-finals, while the second-placed sides head to the Placement Round 5/8, with the third-placed sides featuring in the Placement Round 9/12.
