IHF Trophy Challenge: Nigeria female U18 thrash Togo

Nigeria U18 female handball team has won their opening match at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Challenge Trophy Niamey.

The cadet team ran riot on the Togo U18 girls defeating the 50-11 after the final whistle with 39 goal difference.

Nigeria won the first half by 29-06 with goal difference of 23.

With their victory, Nigeria clinched the first spot in Zone 3 and will face Benin Republic in their second match on Tuesday (Tomorrow).

Nigeria alongside host, Niger Republic, Benin Republic and Togo registered for the challenge which serves as a ticket to the next phase of the World Championship qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria U20 girls lost narrowly to Benin Republic by 33-28 points in their first match of the campaign.
