Yahaya Owolabi says Lagos Seasiders can turn the table around at the second phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Owolabi told www.aclsports.com that the league is still open and Seasiders can spring up surprises in Lagos.

The senior national team player said, “Nobody should write Lagos Seasiders off because we can still turn the table around. We almost did it last season but we lost crucial matches to Niger United and Safety Shooters.

“Lagos Seasiders is never a small team and would never be; one thing I know is the league is still open and anything can happen”.

Yahaya Owolabi revealed that some of the players have not trained with the team due to their education but admits he has been a role model to the younger players in the team.

He said, “We have not really trained together as a team due to some constraint, we have players who school outside Lagos and they just got back this weekend.

“However, we have been playing for years together and as a senior playe, I know have done some positive impact in their games. Expect nothing but the best from Lagos state seasiders team.

He further said, “I impact positively in their game and life of the younger players. We all are brothers not teammates and that is why you see everything turning out out positively for the team”.
