Nigeria fastest handball player, Mohammed Anas has joined Sokoto Rima Handball Club. Anas told www.aclsports.com that he will put in his best and ensure Sokoto Rima finish among the top three clubs at the end of the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

The former Niger United player said, “I feel blessed for such a wonderful opportunity given an opportunity to play for one of the best clubs in Africa.

“I saw Sokoto state Commissioner for Sports and we had a beautiful interaction. I was welcomed like a king in Sokoto and I am happy to be there.

“I won the Prudent Energy Handball League with my former team (Niger United) and today I am totally in different world. I and my new teammates are training hard and praying to keep on with my winning spirit. My aspiration is to keep my steady record here at Sokoto Rima”.

Anas expressed joy over the announcement of the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League by the Handball Federation of Nigeria and Ministry of Sports.

He said, “I felt so happy because I did not expect such to come this year due to Corona virus outbreak, but to be honest with you, I am glad to meet those that I see as one of my own and family generally.

“I am over the moon with the resumption of the league and sports entirely”.

“It was a very difficult time as a sports man entirely, stopping from doing what gives you daily bread is not an easy task as life of human being, but I always thank God for everything and gift of life that I will be able to my sports family” he added.

Mohammed Anas spent six years with Niger United before completing his move to Sokoto Rima.
