The Head Coach of Imo Grasshoppers, Stella Ndudi has warned that it would be premature to write off her side, and that they still have a good chance of winning the women’s category of the Prudent Energy Handball League.

Grasshoppers’ International club of Owerri defeated Kada Queens 26-24 on Friday to cement their place in the third position.

The ex international told www.aclsports.com that the team played against Kada Queens and the crowd.

“Grasshoppers’ international club of Owerri stand a chance in this league and we are looking for towards that.

“My team performed marvellously well because the orientation we gave them before the tournament was to play against the crowd, referees and their opponents; the girls did exactly what I told them to do. The tension was high but alas they conducted themselves and played very well”, the former U21 player said.

She said, “After the league, we will start preparing in earnest for the National Sports Festival. The elimination comes up next month and I’m sure the girls will qualify for the Games in December”.
