Lagos Seasiders player, Hakeem Salami destroyed Safety Shooters in the last game of Day 6 at the second phase of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.

Salami stole the show scoring the last goal as Lagos Seasiders beat Safety Shooters 25-24 at the Rowe Park Sports center.

Less than 30 seconds to the end of the game, Yaya Owolabi converted a 7 meters to level the score line 24-24 before U17 player, Salami Hakeem stole the ball from the opponent to send the goalkeeper the wrong way.

An elated Hakeem Salami told www.aclsports.com scoring the winning goal against Safety Shooters.

Salami revealed that he felt bad when his teammate; Ibrahim Dikko was issued a red card.

He said, “I am so happy scoring the last goal of the game; I was determined to win this game for Lagos Seasiders and fortunately God answered my prayer.

“When my U17 captain was given a red card, I thought otherwise and I vowed to take his place to the end”.

Salami said, “I am still keeping hope alive that Lagos Seasiders will finish first position. The winning goal has given me the courage despite been one of the junior players but I will play a vital role in the remaining games”.
